Chalk Board Garland

 DIY Chalk Board

Chalk Board:
Chalk Board $7.99 @ Hobby Lobby with coupon $4.80
Wood Crown 65cents @ Hobby Lobby
Paper $7 @ Hobby Lobby (the glitter cardstock is 1.99 eh so go when they are doing 50% I didn't want to wait so I paid full price. if waited would of been $3.50
Ribbon
Chalk Holder:
Bucket $1.99 @ Hobby Lobby with Coupon $1.29
Wood 2pk $2.99 @ Hobby Lobby Coupon $1.80
Knob $4.99 @ Hobby Lobby Coupon $3.00 mine was 50% so it was $2.49
Hobby Lobby always has a 40% off coupon on there phone app or website to print. so never go with out a coupon. and make sure to check there adds because sometimes there adds are better then there coupons.
So First I hot glued the crown on the corner of the chalk board.

Then I place paper down and tape it all the way around and spray painted the edges.

To make the garland all you need to do is cut the paper in to triangles and use a hole punch
and make two holes on the two top corners

then you thread your ribbon through the holes.
 you can have your ribbon show on top of the paper like the pictures
 or you can thread it by putting it behind the paper

 Then you just put a tack in the top corners and tie your ribbon around them to hold the garland.
and I had these black stickers laying around so I put her name on it.
and your done :)
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
spray paint the wood
Drill a hole in the middle or where you want the knob at
screw the knob on
you can see I have a grab between the knob and wood. well I have no idea how to cut the screw off in the back. (So if you do please leave a comment on how to)
so I just screwed it on till the nut fits on the back
and just place the bucket on the knob. it fits perfectly in-between the grab so you cant really till there was a grab
The fun things about these stones you can mix them together and make a crazy imagination story or you can separate them by category's .
how to use them: will that's up to you and your imagination.
you can place them into a bag and only pull one out a time to make you story
or you can lay them out into the order you want your story to go.
If you have a different way of doing it please leave a comment and share :)
This creative blogger came up with a way cute idea a story book that goes with the rocks.
for the story book below I used the lovely Blogger story.
hopefully she doesn't mind. I made it for my nephews and I love how simple the story was
and how cute it was so I decided to make one for them.
This way they can have a clue on how to make there story's up.
I hope this helps you on how to make and use your story stones :)
your little ones in your life will love them.
my daughter that's 3 loves playing with them and telling me what each picture is
Elsa Dress
LET IT GO, LET IT GO!
I made this Elsa Dress for my friends daughters birthday in December.
she LOVES ELSA. cant wait to give it to her
Here's my daughter being my model since the girl is only a year apart. and there about the same size.
I was going to make a tutorial but I had no idea how I was going to make it
but if your a good sewer then her are some of the things I did.
for 4t I used:
1/2yd mesh
1yd costume satin
1yd see through snowflake fabric (cape)
1/2yd blue fabric for corset and white lining
2yds silver trim
bag of sequins
4 snowflake buttons/gems
Crown
Glitter Paper
dollar tree white snowflake
for pattern: I traced out my daughters shirt onto paper and made the sleeves go to a point.
and for skirt I laid my daughter on paper and made a rectangle by adding a couple inches to each side.
the skirt is just a straight skirt but I added a triangle in the back to make it go out a little in the back. and I made a slit down the side. and I sewed the skirt to the top and added two snowflake buttons on the shoulders.
Then I just made a corset that Velcro's in the back and added clear elastic straps. hand sewed the sequins on and sewed on the sliver trim.
If you can tell I added Velcro to the sides of the elastic straps, this it to hold the cape
for the cape I just ruffles the top and added Velcro to the corners and the cape just drapes down and has a half circle at the bottom.
arrows show you how the cape Velcro's on.
the crown in a dollar crown at Joann's and I added blue glitter paper and a silver snowflake gem.
hope that helps a little on how I made everything.
And I got these shoes at Walmart for $5!!!
The birthday girl in it :)
